arriving in los angeles in 1988, she settled back at gap, this time as head of studio services, working with
costume designers to place merchandise from all divisions of the company into film and television.
after a four year hiatus and the birth of her two children, burnham stumbled upon her first interior design job
after designing an elaborately-themed house party. in her six years with burnhamford, she had a hand in the
design of over twenty local residences.
burnham considers her style bold and eclectic, but based in tradition; she counts as inspiration the work
of designers albert hadley, david hicks and bill blass, and architects addison mizner and david adler.
she adores color, pattern, and collecting, is addicted to accessories, and has never left a project without
using at least one animal print.
past and present television appearances have included a segment for “smart solutions” for (hgtv); a special
on vintage for e! entertainment; and two episodes of the program “area” for the style network.
for its october 2005 issue, house beautiful magazine has selected burnham as one of america's 25 top young
designers to watch nationwide.
recently, burnham was invited to join the board of directors of hope’s voice, a san francisco-based
organization committed to promoting the education and prevention of hiv/aids to young adults. she looks
forward to this new challenge. www.hopesvoice.org
